๐ŸŒŸ About the Scholarship's Origin

Sloane Stephens founded the Sloane Stephens Foundation in 2013 to provide underserved youth with greater access to education and sports. The Doc & Glo Scholarship was established in 2021 in partnership with Bold.org to honor her grandparents' belief in the transformative power of education. Her grandfather, Dr. Noel Smith, emigrated from Trinidad to study medicine at Howard University, while her grandmother, Glo, dedicated her life to community service. Their legacy continues through this scholarship, which supports students pursuing their dreams and honoring the values instilled by Doc and Glo.
