UNCF Scholarships 

The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) is the nation's largest private scholarship provider to minority group members, awarding over $100 million annually to students attending more than 1,100 schools across the country, including its network of 37 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).


📅 Application Deadlines and Requirements

  • UNCF STEM Scholars Program

    • Deadline: March 24, 2025

    • Eligibility: High school seniors entering college in Fall 2025, pursuing STEM degrees.

    • Requirements: Minimum 3.0 GPA, completion of pre-calculus, financial need, letter of recommendation, essays, and a 1-minute video.

    • Award: Up to $25,000 over five years, plus $5,000 for STEM-related projects/internships.

  • Nevada-UNCF Scholarship

    • Deadline: April 4, 2025

    • Eligibility: African American high school seniors from the Las Vegas area accepted into an HBCU for Fall 2025.

    • Requirements: Minimum 2.5 GPA, FAFSA submission, financial need, essay, letter of recommendation, and acceptance letter.

    • Award: $2,500

  • UNCF Social Justice Scholarship

    • Deadline: December 9, 2025

    • Eligibility: Juniors and seniors at UNCF member institutions in NY, NJ, VT, or CT, majoring in fields like criminal justice, political science, or pre-law.

    • Requirements: Minimum 2.5 GPA, commitment to social justice.

    • Award: $5,000
