Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest

The Stuck at Prom® Scholarship Contest is an annual competition hosted by Duck® Brand, challenging students to create and wear original prom attire made entirely from Duck® Brand Duct Tape. This year's contest marks the 25th anniversary, offering increased scholarship prizes and new judging categories.

🎓 Scholarship Prizes

  • Grand Prize: $15,000 scholarship for the best dress and $15,000 for the best tuxedo.

  • Runner-Up Prizes: $1,000 each for the top 8 runners-up.

  • Judges’ Choice Awards: $1,000 each for three special categories: Runway Worthy, Most Inspiring, and Trust E.’s Choice.

📅 Important Dates

  • Entry Period: March 26, 2025, 12:00 PM ET – June 4, 2025, 12:00 PM ET

  • Judging Period: June 11–18, 2025

  • Community Voting: June 25 – July 9, 2025

  • Winners Announced: On or about July 16, 2025

🧵 How to Enter

  1. Create: Design and construct your prom attire using only Duck® Brand Duct Tape and/or Duck® Brand Crafting Tape.

  2. Photograph: Capture a high-resolution photo of yourself wearing your creation.

  3. Submit: Complete the online entry form, uploading your photo and providing a written essay or video detailing your design process and inspiration.

  4. Vote: Encourage friends and family to vote for your entry during the community voting period. 

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: Must be at least 14 years old at the time of entry.

  • Residency: Open to legal residents of the United States (excluding Colorado, Maryland, North Dakota, Nebraska, and Vermont) and Canada (excluding Quebec).

  • Previous Winners: Previous finalists are not eligible to enter. 

🎨 Judging Criteria

Entries will be evaluated based on:

  • Use of Color: Effective and creative application of Duck® Brand Duct Tape colors.

  • Workmanship: Quality of construction and attention to detail.

  • Originality: Uniqueness and creativity of the design.

  • Accessories: Incorporation of additional elements to enhance the overall look.

  • Use of Duck® Tape: Innovative and appropriate use of Duck® Brand Duct Tape in the design.
