Prudential Emerging Visionaries

The Prudential Emerging Visionaries program is a national initiative that recognizes and supports young changemakers aged 14 to 18 who are developing innovative solutions to societal or financial challenges in their communities. The program is sponsored by Prudential Financial in collaboration with Ashoka, a leading organization in the social impact sector, with advisory support from the Financial Health Network. 

🎯 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Prudential Emerging Visionaries program, applicants must:

  • Age: Be between 14 and 18 years old at the time of application.

  • Residency: Be legal residents of the United States or Puerto Rico, or have a parent/legal guardian who is eligible to vote in the United States or Puerto Rico.

  • Project Start Date: Have initiated their project on or before June 1st of the application year. 

  • Previous Recognition: Not have been a winner of the Prudential Emerging Visionaries program or a National or State Honoree of the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. 

🏆 Awards and Recognition

  • Monetary Award: Each selected changemaker receives a $5,000 award to further their project.

  • Grand Prize: Five winners focusing on financial solutions have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to Prudential leaders, with a chance to receive an additional $10,000, totaling $15,000 in funding.

  • Summit Invitation: All winners are invited to an all-expenses-paid trip to Prudential's headquarters in Newark, New Jersey, for a four-day summit. The summit includes coaching, mentorship, and networking opportunities with fellow changemakers. 

📝 Application Process

  • Application Period: Applications are typically accepted in the fall, with the deadline often falling in early November. For instance, the 2023 application deadline was November 2, 2023.

  • Submission Requirements: Applicants must submit an application detailing their project, its impact, and their role in its development. The application is submitted online through the Changemakers platform.
