GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship

The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program is a prestigious initiative that honors the legacy of President Ronald Reagan by supporting high school seniors who exemplify leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship.

Scholarship Details

  • Award Amount: $10,000 per year, renewable for up to four years, totaling $40,000.

  • Usage: Funds can be applied toward tuition, fees, books, supplies, and on-campus room and board.

  • Additional Benefits: Recipients are invited to an exclusive, all-expenses-paid Scholars Retreat in California and receive ongoing leadership development support throughout their college years. 

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Demonstrate leadership, integrity, drive, and citizenship at school, in the workplace, and within the community.

  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Be U.S. citizens.

  • Be current high school seniors attending high school in the United States, including U.S. territories and commonwealths, homeschooled students, and those living on U.S. Armed Forces bases attending high school outside the U.S.

  • Plan to enroll full-time in an undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

Application Process

Applicants are required to:

  1. Provide basic personal information, including details about their high school, top college choice, and financial situation.

  2. Detail their involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, and paid work.

  3. Submit an essay focusing on their leadership experiences and service contributions.

  4. Include a statement outlining their educational and career goals.

  5. Provide high school transcripts (required for semifinalists).

  6. Submit one recommendation from a community leader (required for semifinalists).

  7. Provide financial documentation (required for semifinalists).

  8. Write a statement reflecting their values (required for semifinalists). 

Application Timeline

  • Application Opens: October 16, 2024

  • Application Deadline: January 3, 2025

  • Finalists Notified: Spring 2025

  • Scholarship Awarded: Summer 2025
